AKONG DAMAS

AKONG DAMAS is a filmmaker and a holder of a B.a in cinematography from the national film institute Jos, Nigeria and a B.A  in English  Literature  from the University of Bamenda. He is currently a Master’s Degree Student at the University of Bamenda, reading theater, television and film studies.

With over a hundred and fifty (150) films project with participation and experience to his credit in other African countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Gambia. He spends most of his time now in the classroom grooming the younger generation of film makers on whose shoulders the future of the Cameroon film industry rest. This is why he jumped out and keyed in the Springboard Project, with NA LEVEL EMPIRE.

Akong Damas was the AFRICAN MOVIE ACADEMY AWARDS (AMAA) ambassador to francophone Africa from 2010 to 2014

Within this period of four years he equally occupied one of the 14 (fourteen) seats at the AMAA Screening collage.

He is a didactic Film maker who believes that the future of the Cameroon film industry depends very much on all returning to the drawing board or the classroom   to learn the fundamentals of film making, an opportunity that NLEVEL EMPIRE in offering in the Cameroon Film industry, through the SPRINGBOARD PROJECT.
