The SPRINGBOARD PROJECT is a talent sourcing project conceived, designed and implemented by NA LEVEL EMPIRE to source nurture and showcase emerging talents into the Film Industry. This project is aimed at identifying training, empowering, exposing and engaging stakeholders into different community projects in a bid to keep the youths in contributing in the development of their communities where they hail from through their projects thus reducing unemployment and valorizing the countries rich diverse cultures.

Lecture: THE ROLE OF YOUTHS IN CULTURAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Many industry observers have debated on the origin of entrepreneurship. The fact to note here is that most scholars who debate the origin of entrepreneurship are either Economists or Historians. The common forum accepts that the concept of ‘Entrepreneur’ is derived from the French concept entrepreneur, which matches closely with the English concept of business conduct; in this sense – “to undertake”. From the business point of view, to undertake simply means to start a business.

Lecture: DEVELOPiNG VISION MISSION GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The day 2 of the Springboard project fell on Tuesday 19th March 2019 and the focus was was on developing VISION, MISSION, GOAL and OBJECTIVES. the facilitator began with self introduction and followed by asking participants to indicate if they have ever heard, had or stated a vision before.
lectures began will Mapping out the rout to progress for individuals and organizations with the PYRAMID of success which illustrated Vision Mission Goals and Objectives. further more participants shared their insights with the subject matter in relation to their past and future projects and tried to assess the factors that led to the failure and success of those plans and projects. at the end of the day participants came to understand that he pyramid of success establishes that:
- A Vision is a descriptive picture of a desired future

- e state within a long-term period
- A Mission establishes why you exist and what it does to achieve the vision
- Goals are desired outcome (intermediate term and broad)
- Objectives are specific targets within the general goal. (initial)
- Activities are strategies put in place to achieve a vision
SPRINGBOARD PROJECT WORKSHOP DAY 3
Lecture: FILM MAKING FUNDAMENTALS
Facilitator: AKONG DAMAS

The film making workshop was delivered on Wednesday 20th of March 2019. The workshop which was facilitated by AKONG DAMAS one of the Cameroon’s (International) high profiled filmmaker who according to participants was extremely context driven and highly professional. Throughout the workshop the 27 participants acquired knowledge in the following:
- Script to screen process in film
- The script writing process
- Story idea
- Developing the story idea
- Building synopsis
- Building and treatment
- The master scene scripts
- The screenplay
- Understanding the three stages of pre-production
- Production stages (What happens at each film making process
- Pre-production stage
- Production
- Post production
- Developing the film crew
- A comprehensive analysis of the functions of every crew member or the production oganigram
The highly interactive training session with an oral evaluation of the participants was a huge success
Lecture 2: FUNDAMENTALS OF MODELING
Facilitator: AKUMCHA MICHAEL

Day 3 in the modeling class was so remarkable with 5 girls 5 boys present. The session was over seen by 3 major facilitators and coaches who effectively present and drilled on some of the basic steps in modeling. The models present were taught he following:
- How to walk (cat walk and working on the strain path
- Hand movement (the position the hand has to assume while walking)
- Body posture: how to post when taking off and referring on the runway
- Facial Expression: eyes representation while catwalking
- Concentration: How to focus on the camera
- Body movement: girls’ hips and boys’ shoulders
- Self-confidence: participants were trained and inspired on posting with self confidence
In general, participants were trained on the general concepts of modeling (movement, facial expression, self-confidence) and it was very pleasing to see the efforts made by the trainees for having acquired skills. Most of the trainees were very happy for the new experience and hope to return for more practice. So it can be concluded that the day 3 experience for the models of the NA LEVEL SPRINGBOARD project workshop in modeling was a success.

Day 4 of the workshop focused on CINEMATOGRAPHY/ PHOTOGRAPHY for tjose participants who are specialized in filmmaking. It was deemed necessary that since film making process rely so much on cinematography and photography, there is a need for participants to have a grasp on some or most of the basic concepts of cinematography to match and blend them with other film making skills acquired.
